So, what’s the difference between the Power Floor and the Power Floor K9?
Good question, so let’s find out…
GTech Power Floor vs Power Floor K9
The 2-in-1, lightweight power floor vacuum cleaner ticks a lot of the boxes. This applies to both the standard vacuum and the K9 version.
Some of the highlights include:
- It’s lightweight – only 2.3kg
- Is both a hand-held and upright vacuum
- Comes with different cleaning tool accessories
- It’s effectively 2 vacuums in one
What’s new on the K9 version?
Mainly two things:
- The metal has been upgraded to stronger aluminium to be more resistant and more durable. The pitch is that it will last longer and deal with stubborn pet hair more easily.
- They have added scented tabs to help remove the smell of pets around your home and given the vacuum a little makeover in terms of the paint job.
Oh, and the cost is a little higher…Not much, only £30 at the time of writing.

That’s kind of it really. It is the same underlying vacuum cleaner as the Power Floor just with a few upgrades.
The difference that makes the difference…
The key point to note about the power floor compared to any of the other cordless vacuums that GTech manufacture is it’s 2 machines made into one.
Previously, they had the AirRam and AirRam K9 – Both upright kind of vacuums.
Then they created the Multi and Multi K9 – Both handheld kind of vacuums.
The Power Floor is literally the Multi unit with the pipe and head unit added. You can even see “Multi” still written on the side if you look at the images.
What about GTech..?

The bottom line…
If you want a lightweight, cordless electric vacuum cleaner, which gives you choice of an upright or hand held hoover, this K9 version or the standard Power Floor are both great choices.
