I’ve reviewed a few of the GTech Cordless Vacuum cleaners on this site. So I wanted to summarise my findings in a post to make it easier to compare them all.
Below you will find a comparison table for the 8 vacuums currently available and their prices.

To Summarise…
There are kind of three types of vacuum that GTech produce:
- Upright – longer run time (Air Ram Mk2, Air Ram Mk2 K9)
- Handheld – shorter run time (Multi, Multi K9)
- Combined – Shorter run time, but does both (Power Floor, Power Floor K9, Pro, Pro K9)
In a Nutshell…
- If you’re after a more traditional type of hoover, the AirRam range is for you.
- If you’re looking for a smaller, compact and lightweight hand-held vacuum the Multi range is for you.
- If you want a combination of both, to use around the home and for those more awkward jobs such as cleaning the car, their latest Power Floor or Pro Cordless vacuums are ideal.
- The Pro model is the only one with a bag, the rest of the range is bagless. All the models are cordless electric.
2018 Update: GTech have released a new “Pro” vacuum cleaner which is the first one in their range to feature a bag. It’s very similar to the power floor, but check out the review for more details.
2018 Update 2: The Pro version has just been upgraded to a Pro K9 model. The K9 is specifically designed for pet owners. There are three key upgrades, which you can read about in my GTech Pro K9 review.
Power Floor Pros and Cons…
The Power floor is their latest product to be released. I can only assume because they felt there was a gap in the market.
After all, it’s great to have one vacuum to do every job with rather than having both an upright and a hand-held. Especially if you live in a city and storage space is tight.
Pros
One vacuum cleaner to do everything. It can be used as an upright and a hand-held when detached. It’s effectively a Multi with a down pipe and head on it. Hence the 20 min run time the same as the Multi range.
Cons
The run time is only 20 mins compared with the AirRams which are 40 mins.
AirRam Pros and Cons…
The AirRam was the original vacuum released by GTech. It’s a great piece of kit and they eventually upgraded it to the AirRam K9.
Pros
Upright, longer lasting on battery life and great for use on larger areas around the home. The upgraded K9 version is excellent if you tackle more stubborn dirt like pet hair or need a more robust machine.
Cons
Heavier than the Multi, but still light for a vacuum. Not as versatile for getting into those awkward places like the Multi. Doesn’t come with accessories unless you buy the car cleaning kit.
Multi Pros and Cons
The Multi range is hand-held. Like the AirRams they have a standard one and an upgraded K9 version.
Pros
Compact and lightweight. Ideal for stairs, doing the car, high places and hoovering up small bits and pieces around the home.
Cons
Not great for large areas and requires you to bend down. Battery life isn’t as good as the AirRams, only 20 mins.
