What are users saying…?
The positive…
Users that we have spoken to comment on how good the battery life is and they love that it automatically stops charging when the battery is full. Great energy saving feature.
They also love the finish of the cut that it delivers and how easy it is to switch between different cutting heights in seconds.
The negative…
Some customers experienced delivery issues, such as damage in transit or missed the customer being home. When sending out thousands of units, there is a chance this might happen. But only in less than 1% of cases.
Note: GTech have an excellent reputation for good customer service and will help you replace any faulty products or resolve delivery issues.
Some would prefer there to be an option for a roller in the back to make nice, crisp lines in the lawn. This would add a huge amount of weight to the unit and make it unsuitable for the majority of users. You can purchase a lawn roller on Amazon for as little as £50.
Additionally, this might not be ideal if you are on the shorter side (5 ft 1) as one customer mentions the handle was a little high for her.

2020 Update: I have been doing a bit more research lately and have found that since writing this post, plenty of others have created excellent guides about fantastic electric mowers which are available to purchase at the moment. I’d highly recommend checking out those guides, too.
If you’re after a mower that you can use easily and don’t want the hassle of a noisy petrol machine or electric one with loads of cables, this is an excellent choice.

Q: How much weight will the grass box hold?
A: Up to 10kg
Q: My GTech mower won’t start
A: Ensure the upper handle is fully extended. There will be an audible click when extended properly. Make sure the battery is charged and shows green LEDs lights when you press the button. Double check that your activation key is inserted properly. You can contact GTech directly to obtain a spare if you have lost it. Make sure you are starting the mower in the correct order. First, press the green starter release button followed by pulling the activation lever. If you continue to have issues, contact GTech directly.
Q: Is the battery covered by the warranty?
A: Yes, for 2 years.
Q: Why is my charger LED flashing red?
A: The battery might be overheated. Allow to cool. Make sure you have not left it in direct sunlight. If still flashing after the unit is cool, there could be a battery fault. Call GTech support directly for help.
Q: Is the mower self-propelled or do I have to push it manually?
A: You have to push it manually. The GTech lawn mower is not self-propelled.
Q: My mower is hard to push, what can I do?
A: Check all the moving parts, such as the wheels. Remove the battery and lift up the mower and attempt to spin the wheels. There might be something stuck or jammed. Check the cutting level to ensure it’s not set too low and hitting against the ground, especially on uneven grass. The grass could be too wet and/or thick for the setting you have it on. Try increasing the cut length and going over it twice.
Q: How long does it take to fully charge the battery?
A: Around 5 hours. The LED lights will flash while charging until all 4 are lit. Then they will turn off and the charger LED will flash. This may take up to 5 hours depending on how much charge was already left in the battery.
