Arrived very quickly after ordering. They came in a neat little box. The cork is where the battery is stored. It's a simple way to light up in an empty wine bottle and safer than candles. I've had these out in the garden for a while now during the summer and am very pleased with them. Unlike some other string lights they are a single string, not in a "loop" meaning they are much more flexible in terms of where/how you can use them.
