Why Use this Garden Tool?
Cleaning up grass clippings, leaves, and garden debris is a back-breaking task when you have to do it with a rake. That is why you need to have three tools in your shed to make your life easier:
- a blower
- a vacuum
- a mulcher
But here is an easier solution: grab yourself a Worx Trivac, and you will have these three tools built into one.
But there’s more…you don’t have to worry about batteries or petrol; just plug it in and you are ready to go.
It Blows…
Have you ever used a leaf blower that sends everything flying 20 meters away? Instead of helping, they just spread the mess all over the place.
Forget about that! this blower has an adjustable air speed control knob. How handy.
Set it to the lowest position, and it will send air at 75mph. Perfect for light duties. If you have large piles of leaves, gravel, or small branches, crank it up to 210 MPH, and even the toughest debris will not stand a chance…
It Vacuums
Just by flipping a switch the blower turns into a vacuum, ready to suck up leaves, lawn clippings and anything else in its path.
Included with this WG505E model is a handy collection bag. Worx know that carrying around this tool after some time can get tiring, so the bag has a shoulder strap attached to it to help you take some weight off your hands.
If the vacuum gets clogged up, a quick-release mechanism lets you take the unit apart and open up the blower.
No tools are needed, and all you have to do is brush off the obstruction, put the machine back again, and keep working.
It Mulches
As you vacuum, the mulching automatically happens. This model has been upgraded and instead of the usual 10:1 ratio it now has a whopping 16:1 ratio.
This means that raking in a massive pile of leaves into several bags is no longer necessary; you can now use the Worx machine to cut them into smaller pieces that will fit into a single one.
16:1 is equivalent to 16 times more debris fitting into the bag! That’s an amazing return and ideal for those who have limited space for recycling garden waste.
Advantages
- Three tools in 1
- Mulching system reduces leaves 16:1
- Easy to clean
- Packs plenty of chopped leaves in the bag
- Efficient, odour-free alternative to petrol powered machines
Disadvantages
- Can be a bit noisy at high speeds
Metal impeller
Some blowers and vacuums use an impeller made from strong plastic. However, no matter how strong the plastic is, as time passes and it sucks in those hidden rocks and branches over and over, they cause wear and tear.
The WORX uses a high-grade impeller made of metal, which provides a more durable and robust performance that is ready to grind up whatever the vacuum sends.
Designed to be comfortable
The first thing you will notice is how well-balanced the WORX feels in your hand thanks to the soft-grip handle that makes extended use more comfortable.
It is not exactly lightweight since it weighs 4.5 kilograms, but if you get tired, you can attach the collection bag and use the shoulder strap to distribute the weight.
The vacuum/blower nose is angled, so you don’t have to bend over to reach those leaves that are under the chairs and table. Switching from blowing to vacuuming, and vice-versa, is done by flipping a switch.
Its 3,000 Watts of power will make your cleaning tasks quick and easy. It is powerful enough to suck up wet leaves, although they will quickly add a lot of weight to the bag.
There is no trigger that needs to be squeezed to operate; just slide the On/Off switch and you are done.
Safety first
You will probably want an extension cord to operate this machine. We recommend the Masterplug CT1513P/IPS, which has a generous length of 15 meters and is perfect for working outdoors.
That’s in addition to the 12m you get on the built in lead.
The noise level of the Worx leaf blower can reach over 90dB. For anything over 85dB, hearing protection is advised.
If you do not have some earmuffs, the Baratec Ear Defenders are an affordable option. And when you are looking to protect your body, you should never forget your eyes.
