But don’t take my word for it!

This is the second generator I’ve bought but is my first inverter generator. The W4500i soon stood out after doing some research as a quality machine with low noise and a pure sine wave output. Although more costly than I had intended, I took the plunge and placed the order, it arrived the next day by courier. After reading the manual, putting oil in the sump and petrol in the tank, I pulled the starter cord and it immediately sprang to life. I initially plugged in a 150w halogen work light and was delighted to see a steady light with none of the pulsating that you get from a regular generator. I have since used this generator with sensitive electronic equipment such as a large screen TV and amateur radio equipment and couldn’t be more pleased with the results, I would highly recommend this generator! – Steve Altrincham

What’s the Downside…?

Many people have noticed that it can get pretty tricky to refill the oil since it’s placed at an awkward angle. Fortunately, the generator comes with a small funnel to help you ease this process.

Another drawback related to the oil is that the tank doesn’t have a gauge to show you how much oil is needed, and things can get messy when guessing. But if you read this review before buying, make sure to remember that the oil capacity is 0.35L!

It’s a steady reliable product, and for the price, I think it’s worth the money. However, it does not have an oil gauge to show you how much oil is in the generator. The guessing game can be messy unless you have a small receptacle under the base – the gap below the oil fill inlet allows for overfill. If this point was corrected, it would make it a better product. – P.J.
