OK, let’s get started…
From the moment you see the name of this lawnmower, it’s clear what its main purpose is – easy storage.
The Flymo EasiStore 340R was primarily designed for homeowners with limited storage space, and the fact that it’s cordless means you can mow your lawn even without a power socket nearby.
It has a powerful 40v battery system, consisting of two 20v batteries working simultaneously. Together, they power the 34cm cutting blade at the bottom.
To be able to take up as little space as possible, while still maintaining a powerful cutting performance, the EasiStore 340R utilizes a few important features.
Key Features
Let’s start by looking at the key features at a glance:
KEY FEATURES
- Vertical storage
- Easy transportation
- Adjustable cutting height
- 35L collection box
- Comfortable handles
Vertical storage
When a manufacturer puts “Easy storage” in their product’s name, you should expect the product to deliver on the promise, and the EasiStore 340R does exactly that.
In just 3 simple steps, you can fold the whole lawnmower into a small vertical package and put it away neatly into any small corner, saving up to 70% floor space.
Once you’re done mowing, all you need to do is fold the handles, stand it up and attach the grass box to the handles.
With many homeowners having small gardens and little space to store things, this is an appropriate development for a lawn mower.
Easy transportation
If you live in a smaller home, you know how challenging it can be to fetch a large and bulky mower out of storage. It gets you tired before you even start the actual task of mowing the lawn.
However, with the Flymo EasiStore 340R, you can forget all about that. Once assembled into its vertical position for space-saving storage, it can be taken out just like that.
Simply grab the handles and pull the mower on its two main wheels. With such easy transportation options, you can now take your mower anywhere you need to.
And with a lightweight design of only 11kg, it’s extremely easy to pull it behind you. It’s lighter than pulling your suitcase along behind you, if you can remember what it feels like to go on a plane at the moment!?
Oh, and did I mention that there’s no cord to tangle around either? Pretty awesome!
Adjustable cutting height
A single lever conveniently placed at the front wheels allows you to control the height of your cut. Thanks to this option, you can make quick adjustments and get a tidy finish to your lawn every single time.
With cutting heights ranging from 20mm to 60mm, you can choose from 5 different options, depending on the type of cut you want for your lawn.
This option is particularly necessary if you are cutting your lawn year round, because at different times you will want to cut the grass to different heights.
It’s too off-topic to go into in this post, but my guide on lawn care gives you all the details you need.
35L collection box
When mowing your lawn, the last thing you want to be doing is constantly emptying out the grass collection box.
Luckily, with the large capacity, 35-liter collection box on the Flymo EasiStore 340R, you can now spend more time mowing and less time emptying grass clippings.
The grass collection box is very easy to empty out thanks to the clever tongue design, and it features an indicator that lets you easily check whether it needs emptying.
You could even think about using the grass clippings on your compost stack, and I have written a nice review on some good options for small garden compost bins so be sure to check that out, too.
Comfortable handles
The EasiStore 340R was designed for ambidextrous use, meaning that both right-handed and left-handed people can use it with ease.
It’s equipped with dual lever handles, allowing you to manoeuvre the mower comfortably with either hand.

How does it compare…?
Here’s a nice comparison between some of the different, yet comparable, electric mowers from Flymo:
What are People Saying…?
As expected, the fact that the EasiStore 340R takes so little space when stored seems to impress customers the most. They love how the mower fits nicely in their smaller sheds.
But the compact design is not all there is to it – the mower is excellent outside of the shed, too. People love the quality of the cut on their lawn, and the fact that it’s so easy to carry around and use anywhere they want has resulted in a majority of 5-star reviews on Amazon.
Here’s what one satisfied customer had to say:
I nearly went for the slightly more expensive one but decided on this one in the end. So glad I did, it stores really well and has saved me a massive amount of space in the shed. Really easy to use and the cut on the garden was great. If you have limited space to store a mower, this is the one you want. Even if you have the space, it’s still really good. – Adam Cook
What’s the Downside…?
The only problem of this mower is not with the mower itself, but with the assembly. Customers seem to find it difficult to follow the assembly instructions, resulting in a lot of frustration before they get their first mow.
However, once things got sorted out and the mower finally got to the lawn, the performance certainly didn’t disappoint.
Right from the start, the assembly instructions are unclear, and it can be a little tricky to assemble the handle. It took me 30 minutes just to get the handle sorted. After that it was easy. Once I started using it, I love the small size of this mower. It’s easy to manoeuvre and store. Batteries charged in no time. Really great mower for my small garden and narrow strips of lawn. – Kirsty
